Biography

The first Canadian to win the First Prize and the Special Prize for Lieder at the Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition in Belgium, some of her most remarkable interpretations include Mrs. Quickly (Falstaff), Orlando (Orlando Furioso), and the title role in Giulio Cesare. She made her debut at La Scala in Milan in 2013. Appearances in 2014 include the title role in Tancredi and Isabelle (L’italiana in Algeri) at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, and Azucena (Il trovatore) at the Salzburg Festival. Her solo CD, Ne me refuse pas, released in 2010, received rave reviews and the “Best International Solo Recording” award from the prestigious Académie Charles Cros (France).
