Traffic Statistics

Opéra de Montréal keeps track of traffic on the website, based on visitors’ requests, identified by the IP address of their computers. This information is always in aggregate form and excludes any personal information. It is used only to analyze the general trends of use and activity of the global population of visitors to the operademontreal.com site: which pages and sections are most visited, how long people stay on each visit, where visitors come from, etc.

Contests and Surveys

We periodically collect information from our visitors through contests and surveys. Participation in these activities is always voluntary and each visitor thus has a choice of which information he or she reveals. Typically, the visitors’ contact information is collected in order to inform winners and send them their prizes, if need be. In the event of a survey, the information collected is mainly used for the improvement of products and services offered.

Retargeting technologies

Our website and (mobile) application use re-targeting technologies within the internet. This enables us to show our visitors, who were already interested in our shop and our products, advertisements from us on partner websites. We believe that the display of a personalised, interest-based advertising is more interesting for our customers than advertising that does not have a personal connection.
We also work with other companies who use tracking technologies to serve ads on our behalf across the Internet. These companies may collect non-personally identifiable information about your visits to our websites or (mobile) applications and your interaction with our communications, including advertising.
Re-targeting technologies analyse your cookies and display advertisement based on your past surfing behaviour. We do not store any personal information data about you with this technology and the usage of our retargeting technology is in compliance with applicable privacy laws. Users can opt-out of the Advertising Features that Opéra de Montréal uses, including through Google Ads Settings and Ad Settings for mobile apps, or any other available mean, such as the consumer opt-out tool pertaining to interest-based advertising developed and offered by the Network Advertising Initiative (“NAI”).  In case you do not wish such a data transfer between Facebook and Nordik Spa-Nature, please log off in Facebook before you enter our website. We cannot influence this data collection and data transfer by the Facebook Plug-ins. For detailed information about the collection and processing by Facebook, what rights you have and how you can achieve a satisfactory privacy setting, please visit Facebook’s Privacy Policy : http://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/

Social networks

Our website and (mobile) applications provide you Social Plug-ins from various social networks. If you choose to interact with a social network, your activity on our website or via our (mobile) applications will also be made available to social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. If you are logged in on one of these social networks during your visit to one of our websites or (mobile) applications the social network might add this information to your profile.
