Biography

Juno Award winning John Tessier has garnered international praise for the beauty and honesty of his voice, and his refined style and artistic versatility. He has worked with many of the most notable musicians of our day, and has appeared at major companies around the world. Recent engagements include Tonio (La fille du régiment) at the Vienna State Opera, Jason (Médée) at Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Tamino (Die Zauberflöte) with Vancouver Opera, Jacquino (Fidelio) with Seattle Opera, and Fenton (Falstaff) with Calgary Opera. His discography includes recordings on the Naxos, Telarc, BIS, and Dorian labels. John Tessier is also Assistant Professor at the University of Alberta.
