Jeremy Bowes (Canada)



An alumni of the Atelier lyrique de l’Opéra de Montréal, Jeremy Bowes was also a member of the historic Sächsischen Staatsoper Dresden (Semperoper). His repertoire includes Colline (La bohème), Zuniga (Carmen), and George Benton (Dead Man Walking), all of which he recently sang at the Staatsoper Dresden. Other recent appearances include a Prison Guard (Dead Man Walking) at the Opéra de Montréal and Polyphemus (Acis and Galatea) with the Atelier lyrique. In 2009, he sang the role of Luka (The Bear) at the Ischia summer music festival in Italy. Recently: A Cappadocian, Salome (Sächsischen Staatsoper Dresden); King Balthazar, Amahl and the Night Visitors (Atelier lyrique); Pistola, Falstaff (Pacific Opera Victoria). Upcoming: The Bonze, Madama Butterfly (Pacific Opera Victoria); Leporello, Unclejohn (Against the Grain Theatre, The Banff Centre and the Canadian Opera Company); Elijah (The Kingston Symphony); Jesus, Passio - Arvo Pärt (Toronto Mendelssohn Choir). Last company appearance: Dead Man Walking (2013).
