Member of the Atelier lyrique (2^nd year). The winner of numerous awards, including a First Prize at the Canadian Music Competition in 2008, Atelier lyrique de l’Opéra de Montréal member Frédérique Drolet’s recent appearances include Amahl (Amahl and the Night Visitors), Galatea (Acis and Galatea) and Rossini and his Muses: The Big Banquet with the Atelier lyrique, Barbarina (Le nozze di Figaro) at the Opéra de Montréal, and Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi) at Université Laval’s opera workshop, among others. Recently, she was heard as Tytania (A Midsummer Night’s Dream) at the Halifax Summer Opera Workshop, and Zerbinetta (Ariadne in Naxos) for Opera Nuova.
