Holly Kroeker

Pianist coach , Canada

Holly is an operatic vocal coach, collaborative pianist and repetiteur based in Montreal, QC. A recent graduate of Opera de Montreal’s Atelier Lyrique Young Artist Training Program (2018-2021), she currently works as pianist and assistant to musical formation for the program.
In the 2021-2022 season, her activities include principal rehearsal pianist for a double bill of Riders to the Sea/Le Flambeau de la nuit by Vaughn Williams/Tanguay-Labrosse (Opera de Montreal), Bizet’s Les pecheurs de perles (Jeunesse Musicales du Canada) , Cosi Fan Tutte (Edmonton Opera) and Die Zauberflote (Opera de Montreal).
In the summer of 2022, Holly was on faculty at the Banff Centre for the Arts & Creativity’s Opera in the 21st century program. Previously, she has participated as an intern pianist/coach in the program, where she worked on Prestini/Vavrek’s Silent Light, as well as a production of Bernstein’s Candide. She has also served as faculty pianist for ICAV/CVAI in Montreal.
In 2018-2019, she was the pianist in the chamber orchestra for Britten’s The Turn of the Screw (Orchestre de l’Agora) and Rossini’s La scala di seta (Orchestre symphonique de la Vallée-du-Haut-Saint-Laurent), as well as rehearsal pianist for Cabaret Bel Canto! (Orchestre de l’Agora), and Grands opéras: gala (Orchestre symphonique de Laval). In previous seasons she has worked as assistant rehearsal pianist for Eugene Onegin and Lucia di Lammermoor (Opéra de Montréal), A Broadway Evening (Aramusique), Soirée à l’opérette (Orchestre symphonique de Longeuil) 27 (Atelier Lyrique), as well as chorus rehearsal pianist for Champion (Opera de Montreal).
Previously, she was a member of the Yulanda M. Faris Young Artist Program at Vancouver Opera, where she served as assistant pianist for L’Elisir d’amore and Eugene Onegin (Vancouver Opera) as well as principal pianist for Requiem for a Lost Girl (Vancouver Opera/Kettle Society).
