François Racine

François Racine is firmly established as one of the leaders on today’s opera scene, engaged by companies throughout North America and beyond. His recent productions include The Merry WidowLa traviata, and Eugene Oneguin at the Opéra de Québec; Madama Butterfly at Opera Lyra Ottawa; and Dido and Aeneas at Chaux de Fonds, in Switzerland. In 2015, he directed Bluebeard’s Castle and Erwartung at the Canadian Opera Company, Orfeo at the Conservatoire de Montréal, L’Étoile at the Université de Montréal, and Nabucco at the Seattle Opera. Last company apprearance: Madama Butterfly (2015).
