Martine Jomphe

Martine Jomphe is a versatile and much sought-after pianist from Fredericton, New Brunswick. She is a graduate of Mount Allison University and the University of Ottawa and is currently pursuing doctoral studies in vocal accompaniment at the Université de Montréal with Francis Perron and Liz Upchurch. A recipient of numerous awards for her performance and research, she recently obtained a SSHRC fellowship for her work on Jewish composer Eli Rubinstein and the Dora Wasserman Yiddish Theatre. At the Opéra de Montréal, she was a rehearsal pianist for the world premiere of Le Phare and assistant pianist for La bohème during the 2024-25 season. In 2025-26, Martine will be assistant pianist for Don Giovanni (Opéra de Montréal), rehearsal pianist for The Turn of the Screw (Opéra de Montréal / NACO) and pianist for the concert Scènes françaises (Atelier lyrique), among other engagements.
