Alexandra Beley

Mezzo-soprano, Canada

Alexandra Beley completed Calgary Opera’s Emerging Artist Program and made her debut singing the title role in The Rape of Lucretia. Other roles include Dorabella (Così fan tutte), Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), Hänsel (Hänsel und Gretel), and Stéphano (Roméo et Juliette). In 2011, she covered Judith Forst as Irene (John Estacio’s Lillian Alling) with the Banff Centre’s Opera. Alexandra made her Opéra de Montréal debut as Berta (Il barbiere di Siviglia) and she sang Dinah (Trouble in Tahiti) with the McGill Chamber Orchestra. This season: Second Maid (Elektra) with Opéra de Montréal and Atelier concerts such as Les écrivains et l’opéra and Poètes et musiciens.
