New appointments at the Opéra de Montréal

The Chairman and the General Director announce new appointments to the board of directors and the management team

Montreal, August 6th, 2019 – Bernard Stotland, Chairman of the Opéra de Montréal, today announced new appointments to the board of directors. On June 26th, four new directors were elected: Pascal Lépine, Founding President of ATYPIC; Guillaume Marion, Partner, CFO at Diagram Ventures; Louise Roy, Chair of CIRANO and Chancellor Emeritus of the Université de Montréal; and Emmelle Segal, entrepreneur and philanthropist.

As well, General Director Patrick Corrigan announced new appointments to the Opéra de Montréal’s management team. Louis Bouchard, Director of Finance for five years, was promoted to Director of Strategic Operations, and two new directors were added to the management team: Marie Dignard, previously in the finance department of the Fondation Québec Cinéma for ten years, will join as Director of Finance, and Catherine Gentilcore, previously in the marketing department at Le Devoir for close to five years, joins the team as Director of Marketing.

Pascal Lépine
Founder and Chairman of the Board, ATYPIC
Pascal founded ATYPIC at the age of 22 and in the last five years has contributed to raising 2 million dollars for the rights of immigrants and refugees in Quebec. While running his organization, he worked towards obtaining his McGill-HEC joint MBA and gave his time to some forty causes. He also played a role in the establishment of the International Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, which, in just a few short years, has succeeded in changing the policies of large companies and governments, improving LGBTQ+ lives around the world.


 

Guillaume Marion
Partner, CFO at Diagram Ventures 
Guillaume is Partner, CFO at Diagram, a fintech venture capital fund backed by Power Financial. He previously worked in the United Kingdom in the investment banking arm of HSBC. Previously, he worked in Germany for Rocket Internet, the world’s largest incubator of technology start-ups, as CFO of a fintech portfolio company. Previously, he worked at PSP Investments in its private equity group and in its internal hedge fund. He also sits on the board of the Montreal Economic Institute and holds a master’s degree from London Business School. 

Louise Roy
Chair of the Board, CIRANO
Chancellor Emeritus, Université de Montréal 

An international consultant and corporate director, Louise Roy is Chair of the Board and a Visiting Fellow at CIRANO. She served as President of the Conseil des arts de Montréal from 2006 to 2012. She also sits on the boards of Power Financial Corporation, Montreal International, Intact Financial Corporation, the Institute of Corporate Directors, and the Council of the Ordre national du Québec, among others. She is regularly involved in the training of executives at HEC Montréal and the Institute for governance of private and public organizations.


 

Emmelle Segal
Entrepreneur and Philanthropist 
Emmelle Segal has worked in the philanthropic and entrepreneurial fields for several years. She has been involved with the Jewish General Hospital Foundation and the Segal Centre for Performing Arts, among others.
