Tomislav Lavoie

Bass, Canada

Tomislav Lavoie completed his Master’s degree in Voice Performance at the Université de Montréal. He went on to portray Basilio (Il barbiere di Siviglia) on tour with Jeunesses Musicales of Canada in 2008-2009, and to sing the roles of Leporello (Don Giovanni), Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro), and Masetto (Don Giovanni). In 2005, he was named a Jeune Ambassadeur Lyrique and took part in a workshop in the Czech Republic. In 2010, he took part in the Opéra de Québec Gala, for which the critics warmly praised his performance. He recently appeared as the Second Philistine (Samson et Dalila) with the Orchestre du Capitole in Toulouse and Paris, and as Don Alfonso (Così fan tutte) at the Banff Centre.
