Mia Lennox is recognized for the dramatic size, beauty and colour of her instrument. Her career has included performances in Canada, Europe, and the United States. Recent operatic engagements include Katisha (The Mikado) with Toronto Operetta Theatre, cover for Siegrune, Waltraute, Rossweisse, Grimgerde, and Schwertleite (Die Walküre) at the Canadian Opera Company, Jade Boucher (Dead Man Walking) with L’Opéra de Montréal, Lola (Cavalleria Rusticana) with Edmonton Opera, and Baba (The Rake’s Progress) with Pacific Opera Victoria. Recent concert appearances include alto soloist in Elijah with the Grand Philharmonic Choir in Kitchener, alto soloist in Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with L’Orchestre de Trois Rivières, alto soloist in the Verdi Requiem (Jurgen Petrenko), alto I soloist in Mahler Symphony #8 (Brott Summer Music Festival), and alto soloist in Handel’s Messiah (Elmer Iseler Singers) among others.
