James McLennan

An alumnus of the Atelier lyrique de l’Opéra de Montréal, James McLennan has been enjoying a career encompassing over 25 roles, winning over audiences on opera stages across Canada for more than a decade. One of Canada’s premier character tenors, his recent and upcoming opera roles include Triquet (Eugene Onegin) with Edmonton Opera, Beppe (Pagliacci) and Caius (Falstaff) with Opera Hamilton, Borsa (Rigoletto) with Manitoba Opera, Remendado (Carmen) with Opera Lyra Ottawa, Brighella (Ariadne auf Naxos) with Pacific Opera Victoria, and Tiberge (Le portrait de Manon) at the Muskoka Opera Festival. He also appears with major Canadian orchestras and musical ensembles.
