Young Associates of Opéra de Montréal
The goal of the Young Associates Committee is to help the Opéra’s administration meet its goals of broadening and renewing its audience, reaching out to the corporate milieu, and mobilizing the community of young professionals. This provides unique opportunities for discussion and learning, as well as privileged access to opera. The Committee was formed in 2009 by a group of young professionals.>
Develop interest and support of the next generation of Opéra advocates, and actively contribute to broadening the Opéra’s audience.
The Committee is made up of 18 individuals from various backgrounds, such as finance, law, medicine, and entrepreneurship. Committee members have distinguished themselves in their respective areas of activity and are involved in their community. Above all, they care deeply about the Opéra’s long-term artistic and financial success.The Committee manages its activities in collaboration with the Opéra’s administration.
TYPE OF ACTIVITIES
This activity is made possible through its sponsors, and is structured as follows:
- a pre-opera cocktail reception including a brief presentation of the current production
- a ticket to the performance
The National Bank Night at the Opéra

The purpose of this event is to raise funds in support of the Opéra de Montréal, and to give young professionals from the Montreal region an opportunity to experience or to re-discover opera in a spectacularly unique setting.
