Develop interest and support of the next generation of Opéra advocates, and actively contribute to broadening the Opéra’s audience.

Mission

The goal of the Young Associates Committee is to help the Opéra’s administration meet its goals of broadening and renewing its audience, reaching out to the corporate milieu, and mobilizing the community of young professionals. This provides unique opportunities for discussion and learning, as well as privileged access to opera. The Committee was formed in 2009 by a group of young professionals.

Opera cocktails

This activity is made possible through its sponsors, and is structured as follows:

  • a pre-opera cocktail reception including a brief presentation of the current production

  • a ticket to the performance

The National Bank Night at the Opéra

Each year, the Young Associates of the Opéra de Montréal come up with a new take on a benefit event, turning it into an extraordinary experience: A Night at the Opera! The goal is two-fold… celebrating the art of opera while raising funds for the Opéra de Montréal.

The Committee is made up of 14 individuals from various backgrounds, such as finance, law, medicine, and entrepreneurship. Committee members have distinguished themselves in their respective areas of activity and are involved in their community. Above all, they care deeply about the Opéra’s long-term artistic and financial success.The Committee manages its activities in collaboration with the Opéra’s administration.
