Biography

Marie-Josée Lord made her professional debut in 2003, singing Liù (Turandot) at the Opéra de Québec. She has since appeared at the Opéra de Montréal on several occasions, including as Mimì (La bohème), Laoula (L’étoile), Suor Angelica, Marie-Jeanne (Starmania), and Nedda (Pagliacci). Last year, she was heard as Meg Page (Falstaff) at the Opéra de Québec, and made her debut in Toronto, performing at the prestigious Koerner Hall at the Royal Conservatory. Her first solo CD won a Félix Award for Classical Vocal Album of the Year in 2011, and was also nominated for a Juno Award in 2012.
