Since she was awarded five top prizes in May 2007 from the Montreal International Musical Competition, including the First Grand Prize and the People’s Choice Award, Marianne Fiset has been hailed by critics and audiences alike. Recent appearances include the title role in Manon at the Opéra de Paris, Malwina (Der Vampyr) at the Festival de Lanaudiere, Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni) at the Opéra de Marseille and Mimi (La bohème) at the Vancouver Opera and Calgary Opera. Her current season includes Mimì (La bohème) at the Tampa Opera and Opernfestspiele St. Margarethen, Lalla Roukh for Opera Lafayette, and The Virgin (Jeanne d'Arc au bûcher) with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal.
