Tenor Kurt Lehmann has been hailed as “one of Canada’s most dependable tenors.” His international career has taken him from New York to Naples, as well as across Canada, in repertoire ranging from Lenski (Eugene Onegin) to Barinkay (Der Zigeunebaron). Engagements last season included Penderecki’s Seven Gates of Jerusalem and Beethoven’s Mass in C with the Winnipeg Symphony, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 for the Orchestre symphonique de Québec, and Verdi’s Requiem for the Regina Symphony. He was also very recently heard in Marschner’s Der Vampyr at the Festival de Lanaudière, and as Rinuccio (Gianni Schicchi) and Beppe (Pagliacci) at the Calgary Opera.
