Biography

(3rd year) – QUEBEC

A native of Granby, Florie recently appeared as The Princess and The Bat (L’Enfant et les Sortilèges) on tour in Bahrain with Festival d’Aix-en-Provence. The recipient of a grant from the Jacqueline Desmarais Foundation, she currently trains with Marlena Malas. Last season, she sang Ellen (Lakmé) and covered the role of Nannetta (Falstaff) with the Opéra de Montréal, as well as being the Sandman and the Dew Fairy (Hänsel und Gretel) with the Atelier lyrique. In the 2014-2015 season, she gives a recital (Chère nuit) with pianist Martin Dubé at the Société d'Art vocal de Montréal), is a soloist in the Harmoniemesse by Haydn with Orchestre symphonique de Québec, and appears in the role of Zémire (Zémire et Azor) with Les Violons du Roy in collaboration with the Atelier lyrique.
