Biography

(3rd year) – QUEBEC

A native of Granby, Florie is a recipient from the Jacqueline Desmarais Foundation and she currently trains with Marlena Malas. Last season, she sang The Princess and The Bat (L’Enfant et les Sortilèges) on tour in Bahrain with Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, Ellen (Lakmé) with the Opéra de Montréal, as well as being the Sandman and the Dew Fairy (Hänsel und Gretel) with the Atelier lyrique. In the 2014-2015 season, she gives a recital (Chère nuit) with pianist Martin Dubé at the Société d'Art vocal de Montréal, is a soloist in the Harmoniemesse by Haydn with Orchestre symphonique de Québec, and appears in the role of Zémire (Zémire et Azor) with Les Violons du Roy in collaboration with the Atelier lyrique. She will sing Milica in the new production of Svadba-Wedding at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence in july 2015.
