Biography

Born in Milan, he served as the Principal Conductor of Wexford Opera Festival and Royal Flanders Philharmonic Orchestra of Antwerp. He conducted at MET Opera and Carnegie Hall of New York, Opéra National de Paris, Washington Opera, San Diego Opera, Munich Staatsoper, Berlin Staatsoper and Deutsche Oper, Wiener Staatsoper, Opernhaus Zurich, Liceu de Barcelona, Teatro alla Scala, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia di Roma, New Israeli Opera of Tel Aviv, New National Theatre in Tokyo, as well as the Orchestre Nationale d'Île de France, Orchestre National de Belgique, Orchestre national de France, Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo, Münchner Rundfunkorchester, just to name a few. Upcoming opera highlights include Un ballo in maschera in Tel Aviv, Madama Butterfly at Opéra National de Paris, Ernani in Montecarlo, Tosca in Venice, Don Giovanni and Falstaff in San Diego Opera, and Maria Stuarda at Théâtre des Champs Élysées de Paris.
