Former artistic director of Edmonton Opera, Brian Deedrick’s productions for the company included  Falstaff, Otello, The Flying Dutchman, Fidelio and Weill in Weimar. His directing career also takes him back and forth across Canada and the United States, with stops as far afield as central Italy and Tel Aviv. He is also a frequent educator, adjudicator, and Berlin tour guide. Engagements this season include Die Fledermaus at the Knoxville Opera, Don Giovanni at the Toledo Opera, Les pêcheurs de perles at Opera Hamilton, Aida at Manitoba Opera, and L’elisir d’amore for Opera Nuova.
