Isabeau Proulx Lemire

From Cirque du Soleil to theatre to baroque music, his path has been a far from typical one. He has taken part in opera productions of all kinds with such companies as the Opéra-Comique de Paris, the Opéra de Montréal, the Toronto Masque Theatre, the Opéra de Québec, Chants libres, the Opéra Bouffe du Québec, the Jeunesses Musicales Canada, Le Nouvel Opéra, and the ensembles Masques and Les Boréades. On the musical theatre stage, he has appeared in Les Misérables at the Capitole de Québec, in Une Vie Presque Normale at the Théâtre du Rideau Vert, and in Hairspray and Mary Poppins at the Just for Laughs Festival. He created and directed the show Da Ponte bien culotté (Orchestre symphonique de l’Agora) and La Veuve joyeuse (Sinfonia de Lanaudière). He was the assistant stage director for Svadba and Roméo et Juliette presented by the Opéra de Montréal. Next season, he will be the stage director for Le Chanteur de Mexico (Opéra Bouffe du Québec).
